Dr. John J. Farrell, Sr.
Dr. John J. Farrell has been a resident of Queens
for over 38 years. He was happily married to Bernadine R. (NE) Burke for over 41
years, until she died on January 20, 2000. Together, they had a loving family of
five children: John J., Kevin M., Patricia M. Huff, Eileen T. Quesenberry and
Coleen, deceased.
Dr. Farrell made a career in the Law Enforcement field. He retired after thirty
years. He then went into private practice as a C.E.O. - F.C.A.S. Private
Investigator. He returned to the University, where he earned a doctorate in
Forensic Criminology and Investigation. In recent years, Dr. Farrell served
professionally as Director of Stress Management for General Motors, Queens,
Grubband Ellis, Real Estate, New York, until he retired in 2003. He also opened
a private practice in 1999 in the field of Hypnotherapy.
Dr. Farrell is affiliated with and served as Executive Director, Queens Flag
Day, LIC YMCA Board Member, K of C 3rd & 4th Degree Officer Advisor, United
States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, United States Navy Family Help,
Submarine District # 12 Commit, Advisor PAI.
Dr. Farrell has received many honors and awards and has made some significant
achievements throughout his career and lifetime. He received letters of
commendation from the following: U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Postal Police,
Federal Bureau of Investigation, N.Y. Archdiocese, Brooklyn Archdiocese,
Cardinal Terrance Cook, N.Y.C.P.D. Operation Hot Air (Auto Crime Unit), N.Y.C.
09-11-01 Family Counseling, N.Y.C.P.D. Son of Sam, N.Y.C.F.D. Arson Unit,
Queensboro North, 09-11-01 Certificate of Appreciation, A.C. James Tuller, CO
P.B.G.N., C.Y.O. State Advisory Committee. Some of Dr. Farrell's other
accomplishments include: NYS, NYC and National License by N.Y.S. Pvt.

National Association of Forensic and Clinical Hypnotherapy, C.H.B. Dept. Chief
Ancillary.
On October 24, 2003, Dr. Farrell was selected to represent the U.S.A. at the
World Conference on Stress, in the Work Place and Criminal Forensic. The
Conference was held in China.
On a sad note, Dr. Farrell was summoned to the U.S. Army Hospital in Germany, to
care for his daughter, Eileen, who was medivacked to the hospital and is still
in critical condition and paralyzed at this time. He was there from December 25,
2003 until January 3, 2004. We ask you to pray for Dr. Farrell's daughter in the
hope that she has a full and complete recovery.
