James
J. Wrynn is a life-long resident of Queens County. He attended Holy Cross High
School, St. John’s University College of Business Administration and St. John’s
School of Law. He currently maintains his law practice, MacKay, Wrynn & Brady,
LLP, specializing in civil litigation and insurance law, in Douglaston.
Over the years, Jim has been involved in the community in numerous capacities.
Professionally, Jim serves on the Board of Managers and the Grievance Committee
of the Queens County Bar Association, is an officer in the Flushing Lawyers
Association, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New
Jersey State Bar Association and the Network of Bar Leaders.
In his civic capacity, he previously served on Community Board 13 and as a
past-president of the Floral Park Community Council. He belongs to several
fraternal organizations and is past president of the Brehon Law Society, the St.
Patrick’s Society of Queens and the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 17.
Politically, Jim has been a member of the New York City Economic Development
Corporation, the New York City Business Relocation Assistance Corporation and
presently serves as a District Leader. In 2000, Jim was part of a delegation
that accompanied President William Clinton to Ireland, and, more recently,
accompanied New York State Attorney General Elliot Spitzer when he visited
Ireland in March, 2005.
Jim resides with his wife, Maura, and their three children, Katie, James and
Kevin, in Douglaston.
